Regulator’s Views

Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of Health and Social Care in England. It makes sure people in England get better Health and Social Care.

Overall Agency Rating: A good quality service. People using this service experience Good Quality outcomes in all key result areas.

Information

The Agency has a Clear Statement of Purpose and Service Users Guide on aims and objectives of the service. Both documents combined provide service users with the necessary level of information to enable them to decide if the Agency can meet their needs.

Registered Persons
The Manager, a UK qualified nurse has a wide array of post-graduate training in Heath and Social Care he has many years of experience managing Health and Social Care organisations in England.  He has had further Health and Care training including a Masters degree in Care Management.

Recruitment and Supply of Nurses
The agency ensures that its staff have relevant training, are competent and fit to do the job so that service users have safe and appropriate support.  It has excellent policies to support recruitment and selection which is done by qualified and experienced nurses.

Complaints and Protection
A detailed policy is in place to help deal with concerns/complaints. Service users are safe guarded from abuse and neglect with action taken to follow up any abuse allegations. The Adult Protection Policy and training do provide staff with good information to enable them to recognise and respond appropriately to an abuse situation.

Management and administration
Policies and procedures are in place to ensure effective running of the agency. Client and staff satisfaction surveys indicate that current users of the service are overwhelmingly satisfied with agency performance.

CQC recommendations:  The agency to continue to build upon its foundation of good practice.
